Param Pujya Dr. Sri Krishna Lal Bhatnagar Ji Maharaj, lovingly and affectionately known as Pujya Tauji Maharaj in our satsang fraternity, was a formative influence on Pujya Babuji Maharaj.

Tauji Maharaj and Babuji Maharaj both disciples of Pujya Lalaji Maharaj came into contact with their gurudev almost around the same time, probably within a difference of a few months. They both met each other for the first time at Lalaji Maharaj’s house. Tauji Maharaj was around 5 and a half years elder to Babuji Maharaj but Pujya Babuji Maharaj had so much respect and regard for him that it seemed that he was older to him by many years. The intensity of regard of babuji Maharaj towards Tauji Maharaj can be anticipated by the fact that throughout his life until Tauji Maharaj had faced the other side during his sleep, Babuji Maharaj would never lie down to sleep, although they had been room-partners for four years during their medical education. After the nirvana of Pujya Tauji Maharaj, Babuji Maharaj had dedicated one full day for him in the annual Dushehra Bhandara of Ghaziabad. His divine presence continues to bless us.

From 1915 till 1919, both of them regularly visited Param Pujya Lalaji Maharaj in Fatehgarh. Thereafter, at the behest of their Guru’s will, both of them joined Agra Medical School to pursue medical education which got completed in 1923. During their college days at the Agra Medical College, they both lived there as room partners throughout, and visited Lalaji Maharaj at Fatehgarh at least once a month. After completion of medical education, Pujya Tauji Maharaj started his private practice in Sikandrabad, UP, which was his hometown. In 1929, Pujya Babuji Maharaj got posted in Bulandshahar and since Sikandrabad being closer, he visited Tauji Maharaj every Saturday and Sunday and their love for each other deepened further. After that, when Pujya Babuji Maharaj got transferred to Bareily, then the family of Pujya babuji Maharaj started living in a palatial house in Sikandrabad which was the ancestral house of Pujya Tauji Maharaj . It was in this house only that Pujya Chhote Bhaiyya ji (Pujya Dinnu Bhai Sahab) was born and later his mother, the first wife of Pujya Babuji Maharaj died. During her last days when she was fighting with severe illness Tauji Maharaj gave her Diksha and thus she became the first disciple of Pujya Tauji Maharaj . He also promised her that he would take care of all her three children (Pujya Jijji, Pujya Bade Bhaiyya ji and Pujya Chhote Bhaiyya ji) laying her fears to rest.

There are a lot of instances which are recorded in the life history of Pujya Babuji Maharaj (Anmol Sant Charitra) which mark the association of these saintly figures. In 1954, Tauji Maharaj gave all Izzazats to Pujya Babuji Maharaj , a written document of which is published in Anmol Sant Charitra. Param Pujya Tauji Maharaj attained nirvana on 18th may 1970, while working tirelessly to spread the divine message of his gurudev. He established Ramashram Satsang in Sikandrabad which has its headquarters in Ghaziabad and is headed by Sri Karatar Singh Ji, a disciple of Pujya Tauji Maharaj .
